Many organizations, including SOCAM Development Ltd, a main-board listed company in Hong Kong, recognize the value of green buildings and sustainability as part of their responsibility to more than just the bottom line. Green or sustainable practices within commercial buildings produce healthier, more resource-efficient and more recycling models of operation and maintenance, to achieve circular economy. Stringent waste management and recycling are so inevitable in a resource-intensive business that SOCAM has been seeking for aspiring talent worldwide like Leung Tsz Tim, to implement the “Clean Recycling Rewarding Scheme”, “Regeneration of Safety Helmet” and “Waste-to-Materials: Rehabilitation of Rest Area”. After becoming a Corporate Development Officer in SOCAM, Leung Tsz Tim strives to minimize waste generation and eases the burden of landfills by virtue of recycling and upcycling. In the meanwhile, she embraces a paperless working environment with the aid of the aforementioned digital transformation and the adoption of advanced construction technology, which helps strengthen the recycling and reuse efforts on construction waste. Up to now, Leung Tsz Tim has been exerting herself in recycling scheme of SOCAM and already successfully participated in and created a sustainable construction site.
